This Jurisdiction adhears to the Holy Bible and it's authority as-
THE WORD OF GOD!
We Use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, preserving
the Faith once delivered to
the Saints.
We adhere to the Thirty Nine
Articles as prescribed in the Book of Common Prayer.
OUR CHURCH AND MISSION
The Anglican Diocese of The Good Shepherd was founded in
New Mexico under the leadership of The Most Reverend Melvin H. Pickering.
Bishop Pickering was a close associate with The Rt. Reverend Edwin Caudill who was Presiding Bishop of The Diocese of the Southwest.
formerly (American Episcopal Church ) At the death of Bishop Caudill, Bishop Pickering realigned the Jurisdiction including DOSW.
At The General Synod meeting held in San Antonio Texas 2002 The Most Reverend Melvin H. Pickering entered retirement.
Upon a successful ballot The Rt. Reverend Robert William Baker was elected Presiding Bishop.
The Jurisdiction changed it's name in 2002 to;
ANGLICAN CONVOCATION OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD
The Jurisdiction itself has been in existence over 30 years.
Parishes and Missions, Chaplaincy work are throughout The United States.
